Devon Allman’s Honeytribe to Play at the 2012 Grayson Blues & Brews
Organizers with the 2012 Grayson Blues & Brews are pleased to announce Devon Allman’s Honeytribe will bring their unique blues to the festival on October 6th.
Devon Allman and the Honeytribe have been building a solid – and loyal – fan base worldwide over the last decade. The son of Gregg Allman, Devon has carved out his own musical footprint with a blend of blues and rock that have are the hallmark of a gifted talent along with a grass-roots work ethic that includes about 300 shows per year.
A self-proclaimed sci-fi geek, Devon says that the new album “Space Age Blues” is sort of … science fiction blues. “I had a concept that you could simplify as “Darth Vader meets B.B. King.”
Gail Lane, who coordinates the Blues & Brews Craft Beer Festival for the Grayson Downtown Development Authority is excited about bringing in the Honeytribe. “We’re working to make each year bigger and better than the year before,” she said. “Though the entertainment schedule isn’t confirmed yet, we hope to be able to showcase some of our local talent along with Devon Allman and the Honeytribe as we have in the first two festivals.”
The 2012 Grayson Blues & Brews Craft Beer Festival is on Saturday, October 6th from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Grayson’s City Park. Lane says that they will once again hold it in the new section of the park. “Last year’s success was due in part to the beautiful venue provided by the city of Grayson. We’re looking forward to taking it to the next level.”
